"The Service of a Servant"
Looking Back...Reaching Forward
Philippians 2:3-4
“…Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding…” Jeremiah 3:15
"3. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4. not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Philippians 2:3-4 NIV Dear Brothers and Sisters, These 25 years have gone by more quickly than I would have ever imagined. To have been fortunate enough to follow my Father has truly been a blessing for me and hopefully many of you have been blessed as well. Thank you for the love, support and encouragement that helps keep me going. I often tell people that this is the toughest job I’ve had, but also the most fulfilling. That’s because I have the greatest employer I could ever work for---God! Each day we wake up is the first day of the rest of our lives. What we do with it can make our personal situation and community better or worst. We live in times where we have learned to expect the unexpected. Still, it’s helps to be able to trust an unknown future to a known God. He is a God who loves us unconditionally and faithfully! Thank you for showing me the love of God for over 25 years. Thanks to my family and Church Staff for your unwavering commitment to the ministry work we have been called to do. Thanks to all my “Special” friends in the Community. And last, but certainly not least, special thanks to my “Ride or Die” Partner who I’ve known for 48 years, Sister Cynthia. |
